Yoga & Mindfulness
I believe that yoga should be for everyone, so don't worry if you can't touch your toes or don't feel flexible enough. I work with all body types, without judgment. It is important to me that my clients feel safe and engage in a yoga practice that is good for their body, mind and spirit. I am a 500-hour certified yoga instructor, as well as prenatal certified. I’m a qualified MBSR Teacher - Training Level 1 through UMASS Memorial Health Care’s Center for Mindfulness and Brown University’s Center for Mindfulness and facilitate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I go on yearly vipassana (silent meditation retreats) and am a meditation practitioner and teacher. I'm part of the yoga teacher training faculty at Harlem Yoga and teach others who are training to be yoga teachers. I also have experience developing stress management and resilient-building programs for corporations, individuals, and groups. Practicing yoga allows me to find a deeper connection between movement and mindfulness. When I work with clients to improve their health and nutrition, I use certain aspects of yoga and mindfulness in my counseling. I believe that it is important to feel connected to the mind, body, and breath.My teaching style is trauma conscious, compassionate, specific, community driven, friendly, and integrates aspects of health, behavior change, mindfulness, and yoga philosophy.I teach yoga, pranayama, meditation, mindfulness, therapeutic yoga, and somatic body work. Teaching brings me joy and I love passing on my passion to my clients.

Each yoga and mindfulness session is 1 - 1.5 hours long. The yoga session will be individualized to fit your specific needs / preferences and will include breathing exercises (pranayama), movement and postures (asana), and meditation. Private yoga is available for:
